About The Pistondrift 500

It’s not a race. It’s not even a rally. It’s just one of the world’s greatest drives around one of the world’s greatest places.

FAQs

When will the trip be?

September 2023, exact timing TBD.

How much will the trip cost?

As a rough estimate, the trip will cost approximately $3500USD (single) and $4200 (couple) but that will depend heavily on your choice of flights.

Is the trip all-inclusive?

No, but there is a lot included. Group dinners, hotels, and entertainment will be booked and included by Pistondrift.

What should I expect for entertainment?

Whiskey distillery tours, an off-roading experience, falconry, sightseeing, short hikes, and more are all in the cards.

Beyond flights, what else do I need to book?

The car and any extra nights that you plan to stay in Scotland will need to be booked by you. Pistondrift will provide guidance on the best place to hire your car (they call it “car hire” in the UK). It’s recommended to rent something small, but a mid-size sedan (like a Jaguar XF) would be acceptable. Scotland’s roads are small, tight, and shared with lorries (trucks).

What is the North Coast 500?

The North Coast 500 is one of the top 5 coastal routes in the entire world. It was designated in 2015 as a way of increasing tourism but the route to circumnavigate Northern Scotland has been a favorite for decades.

But why tell when you can show?
